Greater Houston

The Smaller One

Faithfully Her Christmas Market is a one-room local market in Deer Park on Saturday, November 14, 2026 — free parking, low admission, and every entry fee goes to charity.

Two different kinds of day out

Houston has some genuinely big holiday markets, and they are good at what they do — hundreds of vendors, a proper event, a full day. If that is the day you want, go and enjoy it.

This is deliberately the other thing. One indoor room of local Texas makers and small businesses in Deer Park, free parking at the door, and an admission price that doesn't need thinking about. You can walk it in an hour, or take three and talk to everybody.

The part we would actually point at: every entry fee is donated. All entry fees will be directly donated to the Birdwell Foundation for veterans with PTSD. And a new, unwrapped toy at the door gets you in free — all toy donations will be donated to the deer park fire department.

What to expect

  • • Local makers and small businesses, mostly Houston-area
  • • Handmade goods, boutique clothing, jewellery, decor, candles and gifts
  • • Indoors, one level, step-free — strollers and wheelchairs are fine
  • • Free parking on site, no permit and no app
  • • Rain or shine, since none of it is outdoors

Compared with the big markets

What Christmas markets are near Houston?

Houston has several large holiday markets in November, mostly in and around the city with paid parking and higher admission. This one is a smaller local market in Deer Park, about twenty-five minutes east of downtown, with free parking and low admission.

How is this different from the big Houston holiday markets?

Size and cost, mostly. The big markets run hundreds of vendors over several days and are a full day out. This is one indoor room of local Texas makers you can walk in an hour, parking is free, and every entry fee is donated to a veterans' PTSD charity.

Is there a cheaper alternative to the large Houston markets?

This is one. Admission is a few dollars, parking costs nothing, and bringing a new unwrapped toy gets you in free.

Is it worth going to a smaller market?

It depends what you want. A smaller market means less choice but more time with the people who made what you are buying, no crowds to fight and no parking hunt. Plenty of people do both — this one is earlier in November than most.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

No, you can pay at the door, but online is cheaper and you walk straight in. Bringing a toy is free either way.
